I've lived both sides of this.
I survived physical abuse from my children's father — and I watched what it did to my kids, too. In 2018, I co-authored Surviving in Silence: Overcoming Domestic Violence with nine other women who had each lived their own version of it, because silence was the thing that kept all of us stuck the longest.
Now I coach mothers rebuilding their confidence, independence, and sense of safety in the first year after leaving — and I bring their kids into that healing, too, because they're rebuilding right alongside you, not somewhere off to the side of it.
"You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to take the next right step — and you don't have to take it alone."
